… that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting, but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head — Christ — from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love.
Ephesians 4:14-16 NKJV
Our Purpose:
As Christ’s body we exist to glorify God by speaking Christ’s words and doing his works. God has established the following priorities for us as a church:
A: To love God with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength. (Mark 12:30)
Our highest calling and privilege is to worship God. We do so by freely giving Him worship for He who is, our praises for what He has done, our bodies for His service and our possessions for His use.
We seek to know and obey God by diligent study of His Word.
B: To love our neighbours as ourselves. (Mark 12:31)
We seek to give and receive from each other God’s grace and blessings in an atmosphere of love acceptance, and forgiveness.
We seek to train and be trained to carry out God’s work and ministry to the Body and the world.
We seek to minister to the broken-hearted, the sick, the poor and the lost.
We seek to give the Good News to a dying world by giving of ourselves, our prayers and our possessions.
We Believe:
The Bible is the inspired Word of God.
In one God, eternally present in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
In Jesus Christ as the Son of God; in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His death as atonement for our sins, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father and in his personal return to Power and Glory.
Salvation of men comes by grace ( the unearned favour of God) as individuals turn in repentance to accept Jesus Christ as their Saviour.
In the spiritual unity of believers; the church as the body of Christ.
In the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling, the Christian is empowered to live a Godly life.
